Description
Goal:
NSH Mental Health and Addictions in Bridgewater is seeking proposals from local artists for the design, and completion of a mural on the interior wall(s) of the clinic’s adult services wing. Our hope is to have the clinic walls reflect perspectives on mental health from equity-deserving communities. The purpose of the mural is to help promote an environment of reflection, welcome, safety, and inclusion. An ideal candidate would be a local emerging artist from an equity-deserving community.

Site:
The clinic is located on the 2nd floor of the Dawson Building, 197 Dufferin Street, Bridgewater, NS. Potential space to be painted includes three hallways– see photos below. Hallway walls are standard height to ceiling. Lengths are 8’4”, 29’, and 30’.

Mural Content:
Mural content is open for discussion. We welcome artists to take the lead in suggesting content for the design. The goal is to reflect mental health and addictions from the perspectives of the artist and local equity-deserving communities.
