Overview
Description
We are having our annual conference on April 19 & 20 at the Prince George Hotel.
We are looking for student volunteers.
You will have a chance to sit it on inspiring workshops and educational opportunities.
Shifts vary between 3.5 and 5 hours each. In return, you'll enjoy standby access to additional sessions (first come, first served; not guaranteed; admitted after ticketed/pass guests), and admission to the closing party Saturday night.
Responsibilities
Registration
Registering participants who have already paid for a pass and processing credit card and cash payments for tickets on site, as well as providing information on prices and scheduling.
Scanners
Scan tickets or check names off the guest list at the door for events.
Attendants
Be the first on the scene for a workshop or session, greet the facilitator/panelists and help them get set up and ready to go on time, ensure the session ends on time, running the mic to audience during Q&A.
Runners
Helping out where needed in the moment. May need to step in in case of no-shows.
Ushers
Greet and assist participants, answer questions, direct people to workshops, help move people from one room to another in a timely way. Count numbers for each event to ensure we don’t go over cap.
