Description
The Annapolis Region Community Arts Council (ARCAC), Annapolis Royal, is hiring Summer Students for the roles of Assistant to the Gallery Director and Assistant Project Coordinator. Applicants can be recent High-School Graduates but must be registered for a full-time accredited secondary or university program the following academic year, students must also be a permanent resident of Nova Scotia or have resided in the province for at least six months prior to this work term.

Applicants must show a keen interest in the arts, community, volunteerism and be mature, organised, reliable, able to work weekends and some evenings for an 8 to 12-week period between June 1 and August 29, 2021. $13.25 / hour, 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities
?Assistant Project Coordinator (ArtSeen project)
Full-time, seasonal. $13.25/hr, 35 hrs per week. This is a remote work position.
?Applicants must show a keen interest in the arts, community, volunteerism and be mature, organised, reliable, able to work weekends and some evenings for an 8 to 12-week period between June 1 and August 29, 2021.

The student would work on a special 3-year digital project, ArtSeen. Working closely with the Project Manager (remotely) the student will assist in building relationships with project partners; specifically, to bring together and facilitate a programming committee, create social media content for the beta launch of the ArtSeen project site (an online platform for artists/galleries/curators to share talks, exhibitions etc.). Skills in social media, digital knowledge (how to post on a website, work on a google cloud, like docs, sheets etc.), organisation, communication, and some experience or keen interest in gaining interest in facilitation and project coordination are desirable. The position would be 8-12 weeks in length, dependent on availability.
