Celebrating its 15th season, Art Bikers, a 4Cs Foundation Legacy Program, seeks a dynamic coordinator to lead a
team of artists for its summer 2021 program. Art Bikers is a training program for artists interested in socially
engaged arts and working directly with all ages community members. Modelling sustainable transportation through
bicycle and trailer travel to green spaces throughout Kjipuktuk (Halifax), Art Bikers works in collaboration with
community programs, non profits, and citizens to bring engaging art activities to neighbourhoods in the Kjipuktuk
(Halifax) area.
This year's program acknowledges challenges and changes in global pandemic times and seeks to share artistic
resources to support meaningful connections. A successful applicant will be a safety-conscious, responsive, and
collaborative team leader.
Wonder’neath is a charitable artist-run organization that encourages and promotes art as a tool for expression,
connection and social transformation by bringing professional artists and local residents together in dynamic,
creative explorations.

? experience and passion designing and delivering programming in a community arts setting
? strong visual arts, craft or performance skills
? highly creative, innovative and flexible
? proven team leadership and strong collaboration skills
? experience planning and delivering staff training
? experience with anti-oppression frameworks
? familiarity and experience in conflict resolution and problem solving
? experience in scheduling, evaluating, and offering constructive feedback of staff performance
? experience in designing overall programming schedule and managing logistics
? excellent written and oral communication skills
? experience with promotion through social media/websites, postering
? excellence in program documentation, and record keeping
? confident and experienced cyclist in good physical condition and comfortable biking in traffic
? available for the entire season and not planning travel requiring 14 day quarantine
? able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, within a 5 day work week

Ideal Art Bikers Program Coordinator Candidate:
? is committed to socially engaged arts and community building with demonstrated experience
? has strong organizational skills, prioritizes workplace safety, and is accountable and reliable
? has ability to lead by example, set positive tone, and direct and collaborate with team members
? has art teaching or facilitation experience and is able to lead hands-on art making demos and support skill building
? has an open personality and is interested in meeting people
? is comfortable working in multiple settings: outdoors in all weather conditions and in a mixed use studio
? has knowledge of bicycle repair/maintenance
? speaks a second language and/or has interpersonal skills
? has experience working within a budget
? has good research skills
? is capable of adapting program and timelines to align with public health guidelines
