Open call for publication - photographic research

Pièce jointe is an emerging publishing house whose mission is to make visible the work surrounding artistic creation. Piece jointe is interested in the plurality of research approaches, and believes in the importance of circulating the knowledge that transit through contemporary artistic practices.

For this publication, we are soliciting artists who activate their research through photography and images, and who see photography as a means to set ideas into motion, to initiate actions and generate dialogues. Among the submissions received, one artist will be selected for the production of a book, and our team will help to support the editorial vision of the project.

Pièce jointe offers to the artist:
- Support throughout the publishing process
- Presentation of their research in the form of an interview included in the book and shared on different platforms
- Production fees of 500$
- 10% royalties on book sales

- The artist will be working on the project from the end of April, and will work with the team for a full year
- Most of the work and meetings will be done remotely, by videoconference
- The size of the publication is set at 5 1/4 '' x 7 7/8 ''

All submission should include:
- A brief intention of the project
- Artist statement
- Up-to-date CV

All in a compressed file of a maximum of 25mb.

You will receive a download notice as an acknowledgment of receipt. The selected artist will be contacted during the week of April 19th. The publication date will be determined later, in consultation with the editorial team.

Deadline: April 11, 2021 at 11:59 pm (EDT)
