Alderney Landing & The Craig Gallery are now accepting applications for a one year paid Internship position as Community Arts Instructor with the ART CARTS, Community Art Hub at The Craig Gallery at Alderney Landing. The position will include developing and facilitating weekly community art programming for our new ART CARTS Community Art Studio at The Craig Gallery.

The Qualified candidate will have a BFA and/or B/ED with knowledge of a wide variety of art mediums and practices.

The candidate will also:

1. have some community programming experience with youth as well as seniors

2. have excellent and professional interpersonal skills

3. be enthusiastic

4. be very organized

5. be self directed and motivated for excellence

6. be able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.

The ART CARTS project will take place at The Craig Gallery in Alderney Landing Community Cultural Centre, on the Dartmouth Waterfront. A popular destination for travelers, commuters, Gallery and Market patrons alike. It's a common destination connecting Dartmouth and Halifax Communities through picturesque Ferry rides, and many accessible routes for walking and cycling.
