Posting Date November 17, 2020

Description
My name is Liam McVarnock. I'm a 24 year old IRONMAN Triathlete/Ultramarathon runner originally from Dartmouth, NS.

Last year myself and some friends organised an event where I attempted to run 176km in 24 hours from Peggy's Cove to Portapique, in an attempt to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Although I got injured at 151kms, we surpassed our goal of raising $2,900 dollars with $12,000. We now have our sights set for next September 2021, hosting an even crazier event this year.

We will be aiming to raise $100,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nova Scotia, while tackling a 48 hour endurance event travelling across the province using the power of our arms and legs. The event is in full planning mode in partnership with the charity backing our efforts.

Responsibilities
The Job: 1x Videographer with some experience editing video (amateur is expected and fine)
Description: Aid in directing a 6 month short video documentary series of the buildup and training before the final charity event. The goal of the training series is to help build hype pre event and drive fundraising closer to the event date

Key Responsibilities:
• Directing the narrative of documentary series
• Aid in filming the documentary series
• Aid in editing the documentary series
I'm aware this is a long project and I cannot offer remuneration unless one of our sponsors has an interest in covering the cost. What I can offer is exposure for an up and coming film student. Last year, we had several interviews with different news stations, had thousands of shares on social media, and that was all off 1 week of notice before running the event,
