Program Leader / Instructor for Game Design and Computer Programming March Break – March 16-20 With possibility of full-time summer employment Hourly wage $12-$14 Location: NSCC Institute of Technology, Leeds Street, Halifax Essential Skills for Program Leader: • General knowledge of ‘youth-friendly’ popular games and films • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Experience working with young people • Energetic and enthusiastic about creative use of technologies • Quick learner • Punctual, reliable and can work under stress During the March Break we have two Game design camps: which can include: • Game planning and strategies • Character design • Level design • Basic computer programming • Special effects Camp Specific: • Gamemaker: Creating visual assets using Gamemaker’s image editor • Unity 3d: Augmented Reality demo Software used at the March Break camps can include some or all of the following: • Gamemaker Studio 2 or Unity 3d • Screen capture and movie making software (such as OBS) Submit letter of interest and resume clearly outlining competencies and experience to jobs@artechcamps.com, attention Director of Artech Camps. Camp Program Leader / Instructor for March Break: Animation Camp March Break – March 16-20 Hourly wage $12-$14 With possibility of full-time summer employment Location: NSCC Institute of Technology, Leeds Street, Halifax Interviews will begin held starting in January Essential Skills for Program Leader: • General knowledge of ‘youth-friendly’ popular films, animations and games • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Experience working with young people • Energetic and enthusiastic about creative use of technologies • Quick learner • Punctual, reliable and can work under stress During the March Break we will be covering Stop Motion Animation production which can include: • Claymation, Legomation, Papermation • Storyboarding • Character and set design • Basic animation techniques: e.g. suash & stretch, anticipation, exaggeration • Special effects: e.g. Green screen effect, Pixelation • Blended films with animation and live action Software used at the March Break camp can include some or all of the following: • StopMotionPro (now called Eclipse) • Pivot Stickfigure Animator • Screen capture and movie making software (OBS and VSDC) • Green screen editing with StopMotionPro and/or VSDC Submit letter of interest and resume clearly outlining competencies and experience to jobs@artechcamps.com, attention Director of Artech Camps.
