Description
The Art Cataloguer identifies all works of art owned by Atlantic School of Theology (AST). This position then documents and catalogues for future reference. Artwork includes paintings, drawings, stained glass and other miscellaneous artwork.

Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Advancement, the Art Cataloguer strives to achieve goals and objectives of this project and any other work that might be assigned by the Director of Advancement.

This is a 10-week term position to commence mid-May.



Skills
As the ideal candidate, you have the following preferred qualifications and experience:

• Current enrollment in an Arts degree and/or completion of an Arts degree
• Previous experience in conducting formal research
• Must have a passionate interest in the visual arts and culture
• Previous experience cataloguing and working with databases
• Proven skills in copywriting, creative writing and scholarly writing
• Results-orientated and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, speed, multi-tasking and strong proofreading/editing skills
• Must possess excellent verbal, analytical, critical thinking, organizational and written skills
• Must be self-determined with the ability to act in a pro-active manner and take initiative
• Reliability & Flexibility

• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated, high energy, takes initiative, is persistent, tactful, and diligent.
• Personal attributes and skills (e.g. integrity, maturity, diplomacy, openness, assertive, warm/positive attitude) to work collaboratively in a theological university with students, faculty, staff, and board members.
